Tolbert Torches Spartans for 5 Hits Saturday, July 22nd , 2056 Rudy Tolbert really sizzled at the plate in today's 10-7 win over Spartans. The Eugene left fielder blistered Rochester for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Tolbert was too tough to get out today," the Spartans skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Rudy Tolbert hit a two-run double in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
