Hitting Streak Still Alive for Dufour Sunday, August 10th , 2059 The Oklahoma City Whirlwind may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 8-2 to the Colorado Springs Avalanche, but Thomas Dufour continued to hit like a god. The center fielder collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Dufour is playing great and is on fire right now," Whirlwind manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Dufour was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Thomas Dufour singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This year Dufour is hitting .413 with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .445 clip and scored 18 runs. |
