Big Bang! 3 HR for Louisville's Swanson Tuesday, August 12th , 2070 Mike Swanson was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 14-5 Louisville Sluggers triumph at Louisville Park. The 32-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Sluggers past the St. Louis Sportsman. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Swanson told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The third baseman went 4-for-5, rung up 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Mike Swanson singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jesse Hohe in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Claude Causse in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Nalle van den Brand in the 8th. Swanson currently has a .221 batting average with 32 hits, 9 homers, 28 RBIs, 27 runs scored and a .329 OBP. |
