Week's #1 Player Honored by ELW Monday, August 20th , 2046 25-year-old Tony Rodríguez made a few Idaho Falls headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and West officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .667 average. Rodríguez collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Rodríguez is currently hitting at a .430 pace with 1 home run, 18 RBIs and has scored 11 times. |
