Cornford Sizzles -- Smokes Dons for 5 Hits Saturday, August 25th , 2046 Olympia Battle Cats third baseman Rob Cornford really lit up the Las Vegas Dons with a 5-hit barrage today at Las Vegas Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Battle Cats to a 11-3 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Rob Cornford singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Víctor Martínez in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Quincy Wooster in the 9th.
