Avalanche Yamaguchi Suspended 80 Games for Banned Substance Monday, August 12th , 2047 League officials slapped Colorado Springs starting pitcher Yasushi Yamaguchi with a 80-game suspension. The 28-year-old player tested positive for a banned substance. His suspension will go into effect today. The Avalanche organization issued a statement yesterday calling the situation "unfortunate." Yamaguchi had no comment for the press. In 13 starts this year Yamaguchi has fashioned a 9-2 record and a 4.54 ERA. |
