Jordan Stretches Hit String to 20 Thursday, June 18th , 2048 Toronto lost to the Beckley Farmers 5-4 at Toronto Field today, but Eddie Jordan kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Blue Jays first baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Eddie has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Toronto manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Eddie Jordan grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far in 2048 Jordan is hitting .362 with 2 home runs, 33 RBIs, 23 runs scored and has compiled a .410 OBP. |
