Bruce Hurls Shutout Monday, June 26th , 2051 Dan Bruce hurled a fine game for the Olympia Battle Cats at Louisville Park today, holding the Louisville Sluggers to 2 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Olympia manager said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 7 strikeouts and 5 walks in the 14-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Louisville manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam.
