Osorio Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, July 5th , 2051 The Pittsburgh Crawfords may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 14-11 to the Raleigh Explorers, but Héctor Osorio continued to hit like a god. The left fielder collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Osorio is playing great and is on fire right now," Crawfords manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Osorio was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Héctor Osorio struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Osorio is hitting .365 this season with 2 home runs, 49 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 274 at-bats. |
