Ramos Goes 5-for-6 Friday, July 7th , 2051 Alex Ramos exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Crawfords Field. The Fresno shortstop had a field day in the 13-7 triumph over the Pittsburgh Crawfords, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Ramos must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Alex Ramos hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Presently Ramos is batting .328 with 81 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 36 runs and scored 44 times. View Boxscore |
