St. Louis Shortstop Nets ELW Award Monday, August 14th , 2051 A battle-tested Alvin McLean declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 33-year-old St. Louis shortstop collected the West Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
