Domínguez Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, August 23rd , 2051 Juan Domínguez, first baseman for the Raleigh Explorers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-5 victory today over the Colorado Springs Avalanche at Raleigh Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Juan Domínguez singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Takenao Samurakami in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th and flied out in the 6th. So far this year Domínguez is batting .347 with 16 home runs. |
