Taylor Shuts Out Crawfords Monday, August 19th , 2052 Fans at Crawfords Field witnessed the St. Louis Sportsman blank the Pittsburgh Crawfords, 5-0 behind a superb effort by starter Jeff Taylor. The St. Louis left-hander allowed 7 hits in recording the shutout. "Jeff was good today but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," St. Louis manager said later. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
