20-Game Hitting Streak for Spinks Saturday, August 24th , 2052 The hot bat of Grizzles right fielder Tom Spinks continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 9-8 loss to the Peaches at Grizzles Park. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Tom Spinks struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Spinks has 13 home runs and a .380 batting average. |
