Stanton Selected ULE's Best Player
Wednesday, October 24th , 2063
At the age of 26, Bobby Stanton of the Philadelphia Stars could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2063 was good enough to win the left fielder the East Most Valuable Hitter.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .298 batting average this year, as well as a .414 on-base percentage. He played 119 games and racked up 116 hits, 26 doubles, 2 triples, 35 home runs, 96 RBIs and 92 runs scored.
He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 20. Colt Rabold of the Philadelphia Stars finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Steve Thompson of the Vancouver Canadians finished third with 1 first place vote.
