Hit Streak Now at 20 for Montes Friday, August 15th , 2059 Bobby Montes continued his streak at Tucson Stadium today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Tucson third baseman was 3-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Baby Snakes were not as fortunate, losing 7-5 to the Toledo Ducks. "Montes was hitting everything we threw at him," said Toledo manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Bobby Montes hit a solo-shot off Warren Luddy in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. A look at his current stats shows Montes with a .308 average, 7 home runs, 38 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has played in 90 games. |
