Rocha Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, April 23rd , 2064 After his 5-hit effort at The Orchard was tarnished by Bend's 8-2 loss to the Carlsbad Bad Apples, center fielder Miguel Rocha told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win." He didn't get the win, but the 27-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Bad Apples. "His swing is getting there," said Beavers skipper after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Miguel did that to perfection today and we wasted it." Miguel Rocha singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Rocha has a .394 average and a .474 on-base percentage for the year.
