The 21-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the West Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .615 average (16-for-26) with 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Bovaird is presently hitting at a .374 pace with 15 home runs and 43 RBIs.
