20-Game Hitting Streak for Toth Sunday, July 5th , 2065 Chris Toth, first baseman for the Coeur D'Alene Miners, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-3 victory today over the Bend Beavers at Miners Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Chris Toth singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th and doubled in the 8th. Toth on the season is hitting .388 with 9 home runs. His stats include 46 RBIs and 61 runs scored. |
