League Issues 5-Game Suspensions for Brawl Wednesday, July 29th , 2065 It was quite a row yesterday at Duck Pond. The Ducks Mario Sanchez and the Rattlesnakes Steve George backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Sanchez and George were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 5-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. Sanchez's current batting average stands at .261 and he has chalked up 9 home runs and 31 RBIs. George has nailed down 2 saves to date. In 37.2 innings he has fanned 53 batters and walked 10. His pitching record is 2 wins and 3 losses with a 3.35 ERA. |
