West Picks Top Player Monday, August 10th , 2065 When it came to hitting the baseball, J.P. Chesnut was in a class by himself in the West this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding third baseman for Tucson tagged opposing pitchers for a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 20 at-bats, 1 homers, 4 runs scored and 5 RBIs. This year Chesnut is hitting .264 with 10 home runs. |
