The Erie left fielder blistered the Toledo Ducks for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 12-10. "Carpenter was too tough to get out today," Ducks skipper said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too.
