CLE Premier Player Picked Monday, July 17th , 2051 24-year-old Phil Tillman made a few Mobile headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and East officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 9 at-bats to put up a .778 average. Tillman collected 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Tillman is currently batting .309 with 11 home runs, 57 RBIs and 59 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 317 at-bats. |
