Grand Junction's Marshall Gets CLW Player of the Week Monday, August 14th , 2051 21-year-old Mike Marshall made a few Grand Junction headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and West officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Marshall collected 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 8 runs. In his stats this season, Marshall has posted a batting average of .333 with 137 hits in 412 at-bats, 17 home runs and 82 RBIs. He has also scored 54 runs, walked 46 times and compiled a .408 OBP. |
