Islanders End Boucher's Streak
Thursday, July 25th , 2052
The Hilton Head Islanders pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Rob Boucher hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 10-1 victory over the Hartford Yard Goats at Hilton Head Park. The disappointing performance ended a 24-game hitting streak for the center fielder.
"I'm a little down right now," Boucher said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
This year Boucher is batting .361 with 7 home runs and 30 RBIs. In 36 games he has scored 26 times.
