The Markham HS Coyotes outplayed the Long Beach HS Terriers en route to a 31-8 win, but the standout was shortstop Allen Palmer. Palmer netted 5 hits in 7 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Terriers manager said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Allen Palmer singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
