Dunne Powers 3 HR Against Ft. Worth HS Saturday, March 31st , 2063 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Ft. Worth HS Falcons today. Calgary HS first baseman Henry Dunne tripled up on the home runs to propel the Flames to the 12-2 win at Ballpark of Calgary HS. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Ft. Worth HS manager said. "Dunne hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Dunne collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Henry Dunne hit a two-run home run off Brian Liss in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Brian Liss in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Fred Stone in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. Dunne has collected 11 hits for the Flames this year, 5 of them home runs. He has also netted 14 RBIs and scored 8 runs while batting .306. |
