Rowdy Players Suspended by League Friday, April 4th , 2064 Yesterday at Ballpark of Dallas HS Adam Lawrence and Zachary Murphy got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Dallas HS Hammerheads and Buffalo HS Bisons. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Lawrence will have to sit out 4 while Murphy would be given a 9-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season Lawrence is batting .217 with 5 RBIs, 6 runs scored and 1 home run. |
