Dargis Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, April 11th , 2064 Markesan HS lost to the Detroit HS Red Wings 6-3 at Gaels Stadium today, but Jeremy Dargis kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Gaels third baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Jeremy has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Markesan HS manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Jeremy Dargis hit a solo-shot off John Mullett in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Dargis is currently hitting at a .397 pace with 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 18 times. |
