Marshall Goes Deep 3 Times Saturday, April 12th , 2064 Billy Marshall of the Blues went on a hitting spree at St. Louis Ballpark today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 8-6 loss to the Mesa HS Warlords. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Marshall said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The St. Louis HS center fielder did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Billy Marshall hit a solo-shot off Sean Zuege in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sean Zuege in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Nate Perez in the 5th and struck out in the 8th. For the season Marshall has hit .372 with 9 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 18 games and scored 17 times. |
