Big Day for Scruby: Swats 5 Hits Wednesday, April 30th , 2064 Pioneers shortstop Chris Scruby had his way with Akron HS pitching today at Pioneers Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Cobras ruined his great day by toppling the Pioneers, 5-4. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Akron HS credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Scruby did today," Cobras skipper said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Chris Scruby singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and singled in the 11th.
