High School Wildcard Series Goes the Distance, Kirbyville HS Prevails Tuesday, May 6th , 2064 Kirbyville HS Drillers won a nail-biting series against the Long Beach HS Terriers 3-2, wrapping up the High School Wildcard Series finale 2-1 at Drillers Stadium. Drillers second baseman Chris Walker was named the series MVP. He batted .412, drove in 2 runs and scored 0 to lead Kirbyville HS into the next round of play. "Chris was real solid for us, real solid," said Drillers manager . "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Kirbyville HS Drillers will play against the Boston HS Mulleteers in the next round. Boston HS won their series against the Calgary HS Flames 3 games to 2.
