League Gives Liu and Kenney 4-Game Suspensions Wednesday, March 25th , 2065 At a recent Moose-River Cats contest at Moose Park, Zhi-peng Liu of Saskatoon HS took exception to what Chris Kenney of Garrettsville HS said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players. Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 4 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct." Liu is hitting .312 this year with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 5 hits in 16 at-bats, 3 walks and a .476 on-base percentage. Liu has played in 6 games. |
