Great Stroke: Lopez Gets 5 Hits Monday, March 30th , 2065 It was a good day for the Coyotes at Hornets Park as they clipped the Houston HS Hornets, 24-1. It was tremendous day for Juan Lopez, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-7. "I don't know what to call that," the Markham HS second baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Juan Lopez singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Cory Pruett in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Haggard in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Donald Brown in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. In 11 games Lopez is hitting .400 this season with 14 hits, 4 home runs, 15 RBIs, 8 walks, .512 OBP and has scored 9 runs. View Boxscore |
