Fire Ants Balentine Out Rest Of Season Saturday, April 11th , 2065 A blow for Scott Balentine today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 6 months with a torn labrum. Balentine suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Phoenix HS Fire Ants are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Balentine's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Thus far this season Balentine has compiled a 1-1 record, made 8 relief appearances with no saves, hurling 14 innings and striking out 19. He has held the opposition to a .293 batting average with a 4.50 ERA. |
