Ming Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games
Sunday, April 12th , 2065
Lan-quing Ming's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Garrettsville HS first baseman smacked 1 hit against the Boston HS Mulleteers in today's game at Mulleteers Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the River Cats drop the game, 7-5.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Lan-quing Ming was hit by a pitch in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
To date this season Ming is hitting .463 with 6 home runs.
