Bisons End Ming's Streak
Tuesday, April 14th , 2065
Lan-quing Ming, first baseman for the Garrettsville HS River Cats, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Buffalo HS Bisons today. Not only did the Bisons break his 21-game hitting streak, they also beat Garrettsville HS by the score of 1-0.
"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Ming said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
This season Ming is batting .449 with 40 hits, 6 home runs, 22 RBIs, .520 OBP and has scored 20 runs.
