Season Possibly Over for Mike Furtado Thursday, April 23rd , 2065 The season is apparently over for Mike Furtado. The Old Westbury HS Dukes medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 6 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Furtado was hurt in the game against New Orleans HS while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. Furtado has taken the mound for 5 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-0 record with a 6.23 ERA. The Old Westbury HS reliever has limited opposing batters to a .522 batting average. |
