Ding Scorches Drillers for 3 HR Thursday, May 21st , 2065 Henry Ding went on an explosive hitting spree against the Kirbyville HS Drillers at Drillers Stadium today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Montreal HS Loggers to the 18-3 win. The left fielder finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 4 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Ding said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Kirbyville HS skipper said Ding was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Henry Ding hit a two-run home run off Lupe Romero in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Danny Paz in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Snider in the 8th. Ding is presently hitting at a .363 pace with 10 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 30 games and scored 27 times. |
