Davis Powers 3 HR Against San Jose HS Saturday, March 23rd , 2069 Nick Davis went on an explosive hitting spree against the San Jose HS Sharks at The Shark Tank, launching a trio of blasts to help the Phoenix HS Fire Ants win, 24-22. The catcher finished 3-for-6 with 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Davis said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." San Jose HS skipper said Davis was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Nick Davis hit a solo-shot off Dusty Rodgers in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Kahn in the 8th, struck out in the 9th, flied out in the 10th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 12th. Davis is hitting .348 for the season with 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 8 hits in 23 at-bats and played in 6 games. |
