Republic League Western Division Title Goes to Gray Sox Sunday, April 21st , 2069 Jon Norwood called it "one of the best parts of being a pro ballplayer." The Loving HS Gray Sox catcher was referring to winning a division title, as his club has just captured the Republic League Western Division crown. "There's not many better feelings than winning a tight pennant race," he said. "We worked hard for it all year, have our record at 18-12 right now and feel we're in good shape for the postseason." It was the 8th time the Gray Sox have won the division. It may be a high for Norwood and his teammates, but there is certainly one better feeling he's now hoping for. "Winning the High School Cup," he said. "Nothing would top that." |
