3-HR Day for Good Wednesday, May 11th , 2044 Some days you can't have it all, as Akron HS Cobras right fielder Lou Good discovered when he cracked three homers against the Riverside HS Golden Hawks today, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 16-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Golden Hawks walked away with the 30-9 triumph at Golden Hawks Ballpark. Good finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats and 5 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. Lou Good hit a solo-shot off Matthieu Schmitt in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Viljar Stenstad in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Freddy Djajadiningrat in the 9th. Thus far in 2044 Good is hitting .387 with 14 home runs, 46 RBIs, 38 runs scored and has compiled a .470 OBP. |
