Locomotives End Reinert's Streak Wednesday, May 18th , 2044 The 25-game hitting streak is over. Austin HS Anteaters center fielder Chris Reinert failed to get a hit today against the New Orleans HS Locomotives and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 15-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 5-4 victory over the Locomotives at Austin HS Fields. "I think I only made it to 25 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." On the year Reinert is hitting .349 with 66 hits, 9 home runs, 41 RBIs, .425 OBP and has scored 37 runs. |
