Wild Card Clinched by Riverside HS Saturday, May 27th , 2045 The Riverside HS Golden Hawks clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a Pioneer League wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 28-22, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said starting pitcher Tim Gregg. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Golden Hawks don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 1st AFBL High School championship in franchise history. |
