Crane Stretches Hit String to 25 Thursday, May 24th , 2046 Ron Crane, first baseman for the Kansas City HS Buzzers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in his club's 7-1 victory today over the Saskatoon HS Moose at Moose Park today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Ron Crane flied out in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. So far this season Crane has hit .352 with 7 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 36 times. |
