Gaines Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Saturday, May 18th , 2047 Boston HS lost to the Kansas City HS Buzzers 9-6 at Buzzers Ballpark today, but Charlie Gaines kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Mulleteers right fielder has now delivered hits in 25 straight games. "Charlie has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Boston HS manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Charlie Gaines tripled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a sac fly in the 5th, struck out in the 8th and hit a sac fly in the 9th. This season Gaines has hit 13 home runs and posted a .474 batting average. |
