Hill on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Manhattan HS Wednesday, April 15th , 2048 Alan Hill was at the head of a Modesto HS Navigators hit parade today at Ballpark of Modesto HS. The 14-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Manhattan HS Monarchs that marched off with the 9-6 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Navigators skipper following the game. "Alan did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Hill did more than fine, dominating the Monarchs at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging third baseman told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Alan Hill singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Holmes in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
