Thursday, May 6th , 2049
Jeff Davis has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 14-year-old Garrettsville HS River Cats center fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 2-for-4 as Garrettsville HS got the best of the Kansas City HS Buzzers at Buzzers Ballpark, 3-2.

"Jeff has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," River Cats manager said.
Jeff Davis grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Manny Rivera in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

Thus far this season Davis has hit .406 with 3 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 26 times.
