Lincolns Win Wildcard Series
The Springfield Lincolns out-dueled and outgunned the El Paso Express in the Wildcard Series and are on to the next round.

Springfield won the final game 5-2 at Springfield Stadium and the series 3-1.

Miguel Buenrostro was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Wildcard Series. He had a .500 average with a .550 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.

"I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the League Championship Series," he said.

The Springfield Lincolns will play against the Salem Cherries in the next round. Salem had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
