The future looks extremely bright for Alex Beltran. At the age of 20, many players are still trying to find their way in Liberty League.
Beltran has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the East Most Valuable Hitter.
"I didn't expect to hit .403 this year, that's for sure," the second baseman said.
The Bradenton Bucs star also put up a .580 on-base percentage this year, with 123 hits, 30 doubles, no triples, 28 home runs, 91 RBIs and 126 runs scored.
He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 20. Jason Lapaglia of the St. Augustine Suns finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Bill Garren of the Punta Gorda Bulldogs finished third.
